Pottery Barn

My husband, Jon, will tell you that I'm a fairly messy person when it comes to my own space(a fact he doesnt agree with but is loving about it anyways). When I come home after a long day I'll just throw my shoes and purse on the floor. Now let me explain that I'm ok with clutter, not with dirtiness. I like what Jon like to call "organized chaos". I'm ok with things being all over the place as long as it has some organization to it. I'm ok with my house being this way because it's real. Thats who I am. Now don't get me wrong, if someone is coming over and I have shoes strewn about all over the house I'm going to pick it up. I'll pick up anything that is messy and in the way, but I'm ok with there being a pile of mail in a basket sitting on our kitchen table.

I'm not the type of person who feels comfy in a house where it seems like it's a museum. I'm not a fan of the modern style.
This does not seem like a place I would ever want to live.

I want to feel warm and cozy. I think this is why I'm so obsessed with Pottery Barn. We get Pottery Barn catalogs at work and if I have nothing else to do or need a quick break from doing all the fun accounting, I'll start looking through the catalog. It's just SO AMAZING!!! I love the way everything is set up in the catalog. I love the "organized chaos" of the rooms. There will be a picture of a beautiful bookcase but inside the bookcase is a pile of books, a stack of paper. Something kinda like these pictures:

I just love it! I love how it's organized but still chaotic. Now realistically I don't own anything from Pottery Barn. I just don't have the money to spend $1,000 on a bookcase (nor would I really want to). Maybe one day I'll own a comforter or a plate or something from Pottery Barn, but I will probably never own any of their furniture. For now I'm perfectly content just looking through the catalog to get ideas and to feel ok with my own "organized chaos".

Here are some of my favorites:

David Crowder Band - SMS [Shine]

I have always loved David Crowder.
Sadly to this day I still have not seen them in concert
but I can imagine that it's a radical worship experience.

Jon just showed me this video recently and I'm pretty much obsessed.
It's stop animation on a lite brite, awesome right?
I loved lite brite growing up.
I remember trying to make some cool picture
and giving up after 5 minutes because it felt like it would never be finished.
I cant imagine how long this would take,
but the result is an amazing looking video
and an awesome song to go along with it.

Please enjoy.
