Weekend away

I'm in love with the central coast.
Jon grew up there in a tiny little town called Santa Margarita that's just the cutest little place ever.
There's just something special about the area up there.
You can relax. You can breathe.
It's just amazing up there.

So this weekend we were up there for a wedding of a close family friend.
It was a great weekend and a beautiful wedding!!!!

We drove up on Friday for the rehearsal dinner.
Jon and I always say that when we get past Santa Barbara we're able to breathe more easily. The drive is super beautiful and it's perfect for a long road trip.

The rehearsal dinner was in the backyard of Amy's parent's house. They have a HUGE backyard so it was perfect!!!

The whole family was there: Dad Schliep officiated the wedding, Kelli did Amy's hair and Kristi was a bridesmaid.
Us Schliep's know how to have a fun time but baby Abby still hasn't learned to stay awake for more than 10 minutes.

Now Raya on the other hand knows how to party and usually is pulling around one of the family members to take her around the party
This is one of my favs
He's such a good uncle

The beautiful couple
Amy and Alan Miller

Saturday we woke up and did what we do best when we're on the central coast......... EAT
For breakfast we went to A town Diner/Deli( Jon says they have the best cheeseburgers but I still think TK Burger wins that title)
Lunch was at Firestone....as usual..... and I had the amazing firestone salad complete with pine nuts (wish I would've taken a picture..... sooo yummy)

Then it was wedding time!!!!

We were greeted by the Margarita Moonshine trio (check em out)

The wedding was amazing...... Amy and Alan are such a special couple so of course the wedding was very special.

One of my fav parts was their way of doing the traditional wedding "cake"........ They were mini pies instead and boy were they tasty!!!
Aren't they cute?!

and of course Raya found her own entertainment during the wedding
A table and chair set just her size

Then there was Sunday......
Dad Schliep preached at Santa Margarita Church where he pastored for 16 years.
Of course it was witty, insightful and encouraging at the same time.
Raya being her cute self

After church we had to speed away to come back down to So Cal.
But before we were on our way we stopped off at the Mercantile to get some yummy sandwiches.
They're the size of your head!!!

Then after a long drive we were back home to L.A.

Beautiful Wedding and an amazing weekend!!!

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Miller!!!
